TEAR OFF MY SKIN (rip it off).

She was sharp and ferocious when I needed strength, yet sparkling and colorful when I viewed the world as such. Centering the rest of the piece around her was most natural. No plans were fully set in stone. . . The drawing is surrounded by a pieced frame of found fabric scraps, fabric that I wove, and screen prints of this illustration. The work is layer upon layer of bright, soft, sharp, and dainty. The layers that showcase the girt and glam, everything that makes me tick. As you look at the creature I’ve created, I dare you. Tear off my skin, find the parts that cut. Rip it off, to find the parts that heal.
